I put this ride together at the last minute. I should have sent it out sooner in the week as the ride turned out to be one of the funnest rides I've been on in awhile. Plus the website was starting to look repetitious. Mines this, Del Puerto that, Mt. Hamilton, over and over.
4 other riders showed up for a total of 5. Myself on my YZF600R, Ricky on his patched up but still running strong VFR 750, Marv on his R1, Joel on his F3, and new member Francisco "Cisco" Lopez on his 2001 SV650. We started in South San Jose from the gas station across the street from Fry's Electronics off Hamilton and Hwy 17. Hwy 17 south to Summit Road. We then headed south on Summit Road and started exploring the south bay Santa Cruz hills. We got as far south as Watsonville. None of us had been on 50% of these roads except for Cisco so for a good part of it he lead the way. The roads we hit were Summit Road, Highland Way, Eureka Canyon Road, Brown Valley Road, Mt. Madonna Road, Hwy 152, Watsonville Road, Uvas Road, McKean Road, Hicks Road, Bailey Road, Metcalf Road, San Felipe, Quimby Road and finally 130 which dropped us off on Alum Rock in East San Jose.
