We were supposed to do a run up to Stewart's Point/Skagg's Springs Road but the lack of guys who could make it cause me to cancel it. I still wanted to ride and so did Ryan Yanagihara so we joined the Honda of Milpitas Shop Ride which happened to be heading out the same day. Our route was to take us up into the Sierra's via Sonora pass. We then came back down Monitor and Ebbet's pass.
There was a good variety of bike types. A LOT of VFR's and BMW's.
Both my younger brothers were camping out at New Hogan Lake so instead of heading all the way back to the Bay Area (another 2 hours away) we decided to join them and stay overnight. I'm glad we did. They were camped only 15 miles away from the Junction of Hwy 4 and Hwy 49, near the town of Valley Springs. We got there around 5pm and had enough time to borrow a couple of Yamaha Waverunners for an hour of lake thrashing! We got up late the next morning and headed back home. Damn it was a great weekend.
