We stopped at this really beautiful winery to get directions. The picture sucks but trust me it was really nice. They even had their own restaurant and bed and breakfast. The guy who gave us directions said there was no way out except to backtrack to hwy 46. By this time were were pretty far into these hills and it took us about 30 minutes to get back to 46. We took 46 west towards Hwy 1 where our plan was to find a motel, crash, and then head up Hwy 1 to home the next morning. We rode about 2 miles on 46 and then the fog hit. Thick fog that you can cut with a knife. It was pretty damn cold too. Luckily we came up on a car and SUV so we used them as a guide and eventually made it out to Hwy 1 a few miles south of Cambria. We ended up staying 1 town further north in San Simeon. Hearst Castle is nearby.
