ThunderhillApril 14th, 2004By Jimil:The forcast for this trackday was similar to our last one on February 23rd. Rain, Rain, Rain! Again people backed out cause they were afraid of the rain. Again, these guys missed out. The weather was close to perfect. Just a little wind, but nothing too bad. There were 34 riders that day and the only incident came at the end of the day around 4:45pm when my cousin went wide on the exit of T2 on his Aprilia Mille. Going real wide, he tried riding it out. After finding out he had no rear brake he bails out at the top of the hill at T3. He got a little banged up but he was in good spirits. Luckily nothing broken. The bike was a little beat up but fixable. It was very weird seeing a bike up there. Even some of the Thunderhill staff mentioned that they had never seen anyone up there before. Since my bike was out of commission, Dito was gracious enough to let me use his bike for the day. I was also able to try out my cousin's Mille (before his crash), Dave Grace's F2, and Rob Graham's 2002 GSXR 750. Since these bikes weren't mine, I really wasn't able to ride them as well as my own YZF, but I still had a great time. Once again, we had Dito MIlian of gotbluemilk.com on site to take action photos. He did an awesome job as usual. Thanks Dito! Overall a great day and I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves. See ya next time!
